Choose the Record Custodian
Montgomery County release questions go to different offices based on the record and custodian. MCCF can route a county-jail status or discharge question. The Clerk supplies filed criminal court records. County Adult Probation handles supervision under Montgomery County court orders. PADOC maintains state-prison and state-supervision records, while PA SAVIN provides custody notifications from participating agencies. These offices do not replace one another.

PA SAVIN provides free custody checking and notifications through participating agencies. Search through VINELink, the VINE app, or the telephone service. A VINE event reflects what a participating source reported and is not a certified discharge record.
Use the route that matches the immediate need:
- For a released person or formal release record, the home page sets out the full MCCF, docket, VINE, and request sequence.
- For county or state supervision after release, consult Post-Release Supervision and then contact the correct county or PADOC office.
- For very recent county-jail activity, use 24-Hour Releases, which explains the verified fallback because no official rolling feed was found.
- For a sentence-related date or alert, compare Release Date Lookup with the VINE Inmate Check.
- For a named institution, use its facility page and the custodian listed there.
- For a sentenced Pennsylvania state prisoner, use PADOC rather than MCCF.
- For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator.
